Scans

Yesterday was the first ultrasound scan. It confirmed what I’d expected (and hoped – better to know than to have symptoms without an apparent problem), although unfortunately they can only see what’s happening on the left side. The sonographer is apparently recommending me for a laparoscopy (keyhole investigative surgery) but all will be confirmed when I visit my GP next week. It’s a standard, and often performed, operation so no great concerns there. Until next week . . .
